Description: This spectrometer / spectrophotometer lens is designed for a Canon EF-mount digital camera for capturing spectra on-the-go. Capture images untethered and then process them offline to obtain the spectra (using Image J, a python script, or the tool of your choice). I can provide a python script for converting raw images to spectral power distributions at no additional cost. It works in the visible spectrum (~400-700nm). Capabilities:Easily resolves the 5 main peaks of KSF red phosphor (many professional-grade instruments cannot do this despite claiming sub-nm resolution)If used with a relatively modern camera, long exposure times and high ISO settings enable this unit to pick up weak signals that are way beyond the capability of a typical USB spectrometer.If used with a full frame camera, it has some ability to pick up UV and IR but the sensitivity is extremely low (cannot recommend this device for UV and IR applications). With an APSC camera, everything outside of 400-700 is cropped.
