The box has the US embossed on the flap and is marked Rock Island Arsenal 1903 H.E.K. inspector initals on the rear. The box is used, please seee photo's for Condition The leather is still soft and supple. NO cracking or crazing. This box has the wooden insert for the cartridges. These are often missing on examples of this cartridge box. See photo's for condition. This box is fitted with a drilled wooden block used to store 12 spare rounds of .38 caliber ammunition.
