Description: Smithsonite on Tennantite with Chalcopyrite, Tsumeb Mine, Namibia A classic Tennantite specimen from Tsumeb with tetrahedral crystals to 2 cm accented by translucent, lustrous, interpenetrating smithsonite rhombohedra. Bright chalcopyrite crystallization adds aesthetic contrast. The smithsonite fluoresces an astonishing neon-scarlet-pink under UV light (254 nm). There is a secondary association with the smithsonite of an unidentified, sugary white druse with adamantine luster.
