Description: Contemporary drawing in vintage frame. This is an original (no print) small graphite drawing of a male figure on white paper, framed in a vintage wooden frame made in Italy by a Florentine framer in the 1970s.Since this small sweet brown wooden frame was made some 40+ years ago, it has some small scratches and spots due to the many years of life. The protective glass between the drawing and the frame is also slightly scratched, but it is not very noticeable.The drawing of the male figure (back view) is not vintage. It was created by me especially for this lovely frame. Even thought there is not a single straight line in a human body, this drawing is created by applying only straight lines.All beautiful shapes of the human body are curved, fluid, when one shape extends the roundness of another shape. And still, in academic painting and drawing technique we do use straight lines to create rounded forms of the body.This small drawing is a clear example of the fact that there is nothing straight in the human body and in the male figure in particular.
