"Slow Me Down Lord" - Poem - Keepsake Enclosed Verse Card

Description: Greeting & Verse Card Duet We know you'll love these great “Keepsake Enclosed Cards” which are a combination of a Greeting Card and a Verse Card. The greeting cards are created right here in our southwestern workshop just as we have been doing since 1977. First, a pastel Rainbow is printed on greeting card stock and then precision die-cut with distinctive round corners to a finished size of 4" x 5". Then we attach one of our 2⅜" x 3½" Verse Cards which is inserted into 4 small slits hidden on the face of the Greeting Card. The recipient easily removes it by gently lifting... much like a photo would be taken out of an old-fashioned album. The “removed” Verse Card then becomes a “Lasting Keepsake”. Each Verse Card features the following text: "Slow me down, LORD Ease the pounding of my heart by the quieting of my mind. Steady my hurried pace with a vision of the eternal reach of time. Give me, amid the confusion of the day, the calmness of the everlasting hills. Break the tensions of my nerves and muscles with the soothing music of the singing streams that live in my memory. Help me to know the magical, restoring power of sleep. Teach me the art of taking minute vacations of slowing down to look at a flower, to chat with a friend, to pat a dog, to read a few lines from a good book. Slow me down, Lord, and inspire me to send my roots deep into the soil of life’s enduring values that I may grow toward the stars of my greater destiny."
