Description: Sleepy Eye Centennial Calendar 1872 - 1972 July 1 - 9 Ištáȟba Chief Sleepy Eye - Own a bit of history with this 50+ year old calendar commemorating the Centennial of this Minnesota city named after the peace-seeking Chief of the Sisseton Dakota tribe. This calendar, which is in Very Good condition, is cream-colored with all pages firmly secured by its' spiral binding. The front flap bearing the picture of Ištáȟba Chief Sleepy Eye has some spotting (foxing?) at the top edge, there are several creases at the top area - the biggest approx. 1 1/2" at the right-hand edge, 'B1 3-1" is written in pencil at the top right-hand corner, the bottom edge has a vertical crease that extends from the left-hand to right-hand edge, the bottom left-hand corner has an approx. 3/4" crease, the bottom center edge has an approx. 1/2" crease, the bottom right-hand corner has an approx. 1/4" crease; the first internal page has '15.00 sed' written in pencil at the top right-hand corner; the cover with the stand-alone picture and the Chief's name has wear and rounding at all corners, the top left- and right-hand corners have approx. 1/8" creases, the top edge has some creases - the biggest approx. 3/4" near the hole.
