These are original copies of the book, not more recent reprints Printed: 1893 Published by Lawrence & Bullen of London, England. Hardcover, 397 pages in Volume 1 and 410 pages in Volume 2 Condition: Acceptable. There are no dust jackets. Both volumes have wear, stains, and fading on the covers. There is wear at the top and bottom of the spines and on the corners. Volume 2 has chips at the top of the spine. The longest is 5/8". There are splits between the paper covering the board and the flyleaf on both volumes. The spine of Volume 1 is broken at pages 210 to 211. There is writing in pencil inside the covers of both volumes. Pages 125 to 128 were never properly cut in Volume 2. They are attached together still. The pages in both volumes has tanned with age. These books appear to have been library books some time ago. There are the remains of stickers on the spine and inside the front cover of Volume 2. There are numbers written in pen on the contents page of both volumes. The pages are otherwise unmarked except for the aforementioned writing inside the front covers. Please see photos.
