Description: Exceptionally good native silver specimen from the historic Canadian Timiskaming District, in Cobalt, Ontario, Canada. Subtle dendritic masses of crystalline silver, in places so fine it almost looks like a moss. But what is equally striking in this specimen is that, although part of the dendritic native Silver has a natural black tarnish, which basically is how Silver oxidizes, part of the silver crystals did ratain their original luster, there are area's with bright Silver in the mass. It all makes for a very appealing Silver specimen, certainly older from this famous silver deposit, and from a serious Mid west mineral collection. This specimen very well might have been mined well before WW II. This specimen is 18 grams, or 5/8 oz. The size is 1.5 inch x 1 inch x 0.6 inch in size.
