Famous Jesse Alexander signed photo of a fire in the pits during the 1960 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. Georgio Scarlatti had just pulled his car into the pits for refueling. Fuel spilled onto the hot exhaust started a big fire, sending the driver leaping from the car. Scarlatti sustained only minor burns, but the Ferrari was destroyed. Photo is lithographically printed and signed below the image by the photographer. Print is in very good condition with some waviness, especially in the upper border, and a short crimp near the upper left corner. The image itself is in excellent shape, and would mount, mat and frame beautifully. Measures 11" x 14" (28cm x 36cm).
