Description: Incredibly rare find! A first edition of SPECULATIVE MASONRY, ITS MISSION, ITS EVOLUTION, AND ITS LANDMARKS. Printed in Glascow in 1914. It is signed by the author, A. S. Macbride, J.P. SPECULATIVE MASONRY ITS MISSION ITS EVOLUTION AND ITS LANDMARKS; Being a Series of Lectures Delivered At the Lodge of Instruction in Connection with Lodge Progress, Glasgow, No. 873 Inside this book is a small Easter card with a note gifting the book to a Mason. The writer of the note says that "Andrew MacBride is my mother's brother". So, this would put the note writer to be a niece or nephew of MacBride. Inside are also newspaper clippings of MacBride's death and funeral information. It's very rare to find this first edition book, period. To have his signature and extra items from a family member are just extraordinary. The pictures are part of the description so please look carefully and ask questions before bidding and buying. There are no returns. Buyer selects shipping option.
