Juan Romero (Seville, 1932), Romerito, painter trained at the School of Fine Arts in Seville. His works are sometimes described as naive because they emanate naivety and optimism. He lived in Paris between 1957 and 1972. In 1967 he received the Prize of the Biennial of Art of Paris. He has participated in the biennials of Venice, Sao Paulo, Lubiana and Ravenna. He has held numerous exhibitions, including the anthological exhibition at the Real Alcazar of Seville (1981) or "Demiurgo de realidades maravillosas. 1950-2011" at the Casa de la Provincia de la Diputación de Sevilla (December 15, 2011 - January 22, 2012).In 2010 Julio Soler published his doctoral thesis: "The Sevillian painter Juan Romero.
