Description: This is a slightly ragged menu from Saturday, September 2, 1939 at the New Post Office Coffee Shop in San Francisco, California. It is a paper menu paperclipped into a cardboard cover supplied by National Eagle Whiskey or Bourbon. The dinners with soup, salad and dessert are forty cents! Sandwiches run between ten cents for a hamburger and 45 cents for a club sandwich. There is a squiggle mark on the list of salads and a little tear at about the middle of the left side of the paper menu. The paper clip at the top has rusted. It is, however, a good look at the offerings and prices of lunch in San Francisco in 1939! The paper menu is longer than the cardboard cover and is 12" by 7".
