The stopper is tooled with a groove that permits constant pressure equilibration during use. Borosilicate funnels have shown high resistance to both chemical and thermal shock. This support stand is very solid. It has rectangular cast iron base with a baked black enamel finish. The base has been machined to accept the thread on the nickel plated steel rod.
