I have replaced the plastic scales with stabilized Osage Orange wood. They are attached with G-flex epoxy and a peened pin; they will never come off! Now it has the look and feel of a custom knife. I also reprofiled the edge on a diamond stone and then sharpened to hair whittling sharpness using a spyderco sharpmaker. This is a very classy knife. It has barely been used, the spots you see on the blade are the beginning of patina. I simply haven't used it enough for the whole blade to look dark yet.
