Description: It's "cha-cha" time! What better way to trip the light fantastic than with flashy, shimmery jewelry such as this, a pair of golden bead earrings by Elsa Schiaparelli. Our 1950s pair showcases clusters of dangly, pale golden beads — a jewelry style sometimes referred to as cha-cha.Schiaparelli is not known for this style. Her jewelry pieces are usually more elaborate, with fantasy stones and molded settings. But cha-cha jewelry was popular in the 1950s, and most top designers created versions to appeal to a wider base. Each earring has lots of shiny, pale golden beads, dangling from a mesh base. We counted 18 beads that are about 1/4" rounds, plus one slightly larger faceted bead located at the center and base of the earring. The beads are lightweight, and would shimmy everytime you move (or dance!).The earrings are about 1 1/4" tall and 1 1/2" wide. They are clipbacks. Marked Schiaparelli in script on the clipbacks. In overall excellent condition. All the beads have most of the goldtone surface intact and very shiny. Little visible wear everywhere.
