Description: Extremely nice specimen of Rutile crystals in a matrix of Kyanite, Turgite and Hematite. Good sized specimen with a large, high luster Rutile crystal at the top. It is partially coated with Turgite and measures roughly 3 cm across. It is a fantastic crystal with many faces visible that reflect light like a mirror practically. Other Rutiles crystals are exposed including one that is around 5 cm in length and has an iridescence and another at 3 cm long. The specimen is packed with Rutile and is quite dense. This piece has been on my mineral display shelf for quite a while and it was collected by a friend of mine who lives near the locale. I may try to get better photos as it was very tricky due to the bright reflective crystal faces. From Graves Mountain, Lincoln County, Georgia. 346 grams. 4" length 3" height roughly.
