A crimped in place flanged floating bridge remains centered over the hose in the opening between clamp ends during tightening. A smooth inner band prevents cutting or bulging and allows greater torquing capability than conventional worm gear clamps. The band also assures an equalized 360 degree clamping force around the hose for tight connections.
