Description: The 1995 annual Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate depicts a family bringing home Christmas tree in the foreground with the Holsteinborg Castle in the background. The plate is titled "CHRISTMAS AT THE MANOR HOUSE". This famous castle dates back to the 14th century. In 1811 Holsteinborg Castle was the home of Denmark's first indoor Christmas tree. It has a green stamped backmark with the Royal Copenhagen crown emblem encircled by the words ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK in block capitals above the blue water-waves mark. The plate title appears in green block capitals. It measures 7 1/4 inches (18.4cm) in diameter. There are no chips, cracks or scratches, and no discoloration or crazing of the glaze. No damage at all. There are two holes at the back for hanging. Included are the original 1995 leaflet and certificate of authenticity.
