Description: Maker: This lovely salad plate is by the legendary English china maker Royal Cauldon. The fine bone china is thin and translucent and the craftsmanship is of a very high standard. Age: On the reverse is the green "Royal Cauldon England" mark that was in use between 1950 and 1962. Cauldon became Royal Cauldon in 1920. It became part of Coalport in the 1960s and part of Wedgwood when Coalport was taken over. Design: The pattern features finely detailed thistles on a background of pure white fine bone china. The name of the artist - Tom Hall - appears at the center. Size: The plate is 8 1/4 inches wide and weighs 12.6 ounces. Condition: It's in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs or wear. There is a faint blue mark near the center - it's shown in the photos. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are part of the description.
