We know how much you love Rowan's luxurious 'Kidsilk Haze' yarn, and now you can experience the same luscious fiber blend in a fabulous limited-edition version. 'Kidsilk Creation' is spun as an ethereal, tubular netting yarn, but it's definitely a netting yarn with a difference. This fiber gem ruffles automatically but uses fewer stitches and less effort to achieve gorgeous results. (see pictures above) The yarn mavens at Rowan have even dyed this marvelous 'Creation' in the most popular of the original 'Kidsilk Haze' shades. Add that you need only one hank to knit or crochet the lovely scarf pattern included on each label, and you have the perfect yarn for your own accessories and to create as gifts. This yarn comes in a knitted tubular construction that only requires 2 stitches to be cast on to make a luxurious spiral scarf in approximately an hour. Beautifully crafted in Italy of luxurious 70% super kid mohair and 30 % silk. In addition to creating ruffle scarves, Kidsilk Creation and Kidsilk Creation Stripe can be used to create other projects found on Ravelry. My favorite is the Kidsilk Creation Sea Ribbon Scarf by Cheryl Blacher. You can find the pattern on Ravelry and it is FREE!!! My other favorite is the Cobbletone Cowl from Mary Maxim - pictured above in Lime Jelly, Smoke and Black. It's a super simple pattern and free on the Mary Maxim site. I've also seen it finger knitted (2 skeins, 6 stitches across) for a super soft warm bulky scarf or cowl. One person on Ravelry used it to make a tutu for a young ballerina. Several people have unknitted it and then used it as KidSilk Haze, but you have to be very very detail oriented and patient. I tried it and failed dismally. And I do mean dismally.
