Description: Roman Imperial ar Silver Antoninianus Coin of Postumus FIDES MILITVM Obverse : Radiate bust of Postumus right Reverse : Fides standing left holding 2 signa 21 MM3.2 Grams Old City of Jerusalem Accumulation Hoard Find from 1951 to 1953 from the Colonel William Taylor Collection. Colonel Taylor was a US Peacekeeper during that period of time and was stationed from what I have read near the old city. From what I read about him he was fascinated by old coins and every day that he could during that period that he was stationed there, he would walk through parts of the old city and purchase a coin or 2 from a local coin dealer. Over that period he accumulated a fairly large collection of local finds spanning the periods of Old Greece, Rome and up through medieval times. Thus the term, " accumulation hoard." Colonel Taylor passed away sometime during the early 21st century and Taters Relics acquired his collection of which over the next few weeks you will be shown many of these coins. Some of the coins are fairly common , some are not in the best of condition and others like this one is quite choice and with a fairly complete provenance , there are quite unique coins.. ~ jf Payment: Per Ebay Policy, All payments must be received within 4 days of the closing of your auction winnings this also includes " Best Offer" items.
