Description: Up for sale is a beautiful one owner Rolex GMT master reference 1675 . This beautiful watch was purchased in 1963 and it has been well maintained and loved for years. The owner of this watch was a Colonel in the Army and he flew Cobra helicopters during the Vietnam War wearing this watch. The watch is running smoothly and keeping perfect time. This watch could use a little cleaning between the lugs and along the gasket but overall it's a stunning and very clean watch. This is a very early model dating back to 1963. A number of rare details make these early 1675s exceedingly desirable. While the 40mm stainless steel case, the aluminum Pepsi bezel, and the Oyster bracelet are in wonderful condition, the dial is really the main attraction here. The glossy gilt dial features a rare Underline right above the 6 o'clock marker, which scholars regard as probably symbolizing a transition from radium to tritium on the dial, a result of the Swiss government's 1963 ban on radium use in ordinary watches. Dials with this detail were only produced for a short period of time, making it the perfect collectable for vintage connoisseurs. This watch looks great but the hands, bezel insert, and the bracelet are all Rolex service parts. The hands on the watch do not give off much lume. (See Pic) I am not sure if this watch has all the links to the bracelet but I was told the watch should fit up to a seven inch wrist. This bracelet is a submarine style bracelet so it feels great on the wrist and secures nicely.
