Description: Roland JD-800 OS 1.01 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT Firmware OS v1.01 is the latest known operating system issued by Roland for the JD-800 Included will be 1 new EPROM chip required to complete the upgrade. The Roland JD-800 itself is not for sale, only the ROM upgrade chip will be supplied. Note – It is important to mention that certain JD-800 mainboard revisions do not come with removable ROM sockets and instead will have the existing ROM chip soldered directly to the mainboard. This version 1.01 upgrade is serves as a supplemental release, intended to iron out any remaining kinks affecting general stability, bugs and improve performance within the firmware code. Before purchasing, check which firmware your JD-800 is running: Switch on the power while holding [MULTI] to set the JD-800 in to Multimode / Test mode. Then simultaneously press [EXIT] + [CURSOR L] + [CURSOR R]. You will now be prompted with the firmware revision installed in your JD-800. Press [CURSOR L] + [CURSOR R] to exit test mode.
