For the card description, the #'s listed are first for the sticker (with a dash, " - ", for connecting combos) and following the slash, "/ ", the stickerback. The Topps sticker sets from 1988, 1989 and 1990 are complicated and confusing issues. These can be described as two different sets in each year, depending on what side is viewed. One set of 328, the sticker side, can actually be peeled off of the card. The second set of 67 "Superstars" are really cardstock and are blank backed if the sticker side is removed. Because the Superstar stickerback set is only 67, there are multiple versions of stickers on the reverse sides. For example, the Griffey #49 Superstar stickerback has three different stickers combos on the other side. So all the stickerbacks have different versions. The sticker set is comprised of single player stickers, Foil All Stars and combo player sides (each player on the same side has his own number). The stickerback "Superstar" set has red backgrounds for American League players and blue backgrounds for National League players. The #67 is a checklist of the Superstars.
