Richard Stilwell (b. 1942), born May 6, 1942, St. Louis, Missouri; operatic and concert baritone; sang Billy Budd in the premiere of Britten's Billy Budd at the Metropolitan Opera; appeared alongside Frederica von Stade in the landmark recording of Pelleas et Melisande under the baton of Herbert van Karajan, and as the voice of the Count from Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni in the 1984 film "Amadeus"; although continuing to appear at major opera houses throughout the United States and Europe, Stilwell instructs voice at the Chicago College of Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois.
