The antique glass shades have no chips or cracks. They have a gorgeous moonstone / custard look, and in case you're curious, they don't glow under a UV light. Use one standard-base light bulb up to 100 watts each, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like. He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #18).
