Description: A beautiful English Regency Masons ironstone barrel/urn shaped covered tureen. A most unusual form sumptuously decorated with gilded roses and foilage within a burnt sienna band. The lid with a five acorn/berry and leaf stem finial with gilt and red highlights. The body with two gilded aqua mask winged sea serpent open mouth handles. The tureen is impressed marked dating 1818-1825. A larger size measuring 7.5" high and 5.5" diameter. In very good condition. Several bottom interior glaze imperfections, one underglaze line underside bottom and a possible small petal chip. Light pattern and gilt wear. Free Shipping U.S.P.S Priority Mail.
