Raised bands to spine with gilt chevrons and gilt titles over green morocco band. Upper fore-corners appear to have been lightly charred with blackening around extremities and page ends. Edges show some rubbing otherwise with the occasional smudge to surfaces. Nevertheless, leather remains quite handsome with bright gilt appointments. Half-title separated with title beginning to loosen, though it holds. Pages are impressive otherwise, showing no writing, foxing, or stains, and binding remains sound throughout. A lovely and readable copy, 1st printing of an updated translation for 1889.
