Description: An original from signed photograph WWII Rear Admiral Jules James to the son of a Boston Globe reporter who was collecting unit patches. He had luck getting these given the status of his father. Admiral James sent a signed photo sketch of himself. James commanded the Caribbean areaduring the later part of the war form Charleston SC and then the fleet in the Mediterranean post war. The letter is behind cellophane of the period and has a tape edged border that does not effect the document. There may be a small piece of tape mounting the document to the back board.
