Description: Only 100 of these sterling silver buckles were made by American Importers to go along with a large collection of prints & “Legal Forgeries” by this famous western artist C.M. Russell. The “Wagon Boss” was one of his most famous iconic works. It weighs 6.6 ounces. The one I’m selling is number 62 of 100…numbered twice on the back of the buckle and a crude sticker on the back of the original box. I chose not to clean the patina from the buckle. As far as provenance, my parents once owned most of these buckles before selling, gifting, and dividing among family. They owned all of the art as well, which didn’t end with Russell…there are hundreds of various artists as well as the entire framing business also for sale very cheap. I have to downsize.
