Description: Very Rare - Wynken, Blynken, and Nod Children’s Lamp with Nightlight by The Dolly Toy Company from the 1950’s in Good Condition (Tested and Works Great!) A wonderful vintage lamp based on the "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod" children’s poem and fantasy bed-time story about three children sailing and fishing among the stars from a wooden shoe shaped boat. Light up your little one's space with this sweet children’s nursery lamp that features sturdy pressed cardboard cutouts with laminated graphics. The children are sailing in a colored plastic shoe boat (could be Bakelite) that’s mounted on an oval shaped plastic base with round wooden feet. There is a small nightlight bulb visible through an opening in the front of the boat, plus a larger standard bulb socket at the top of the lamp that has 2 modes of intensity: lamp on or nightlight on (both work), with an old-style power plug. Requires one standard lightbulb (not sure of the wattage & not included), and one type C nightlight bulb (included). Measures 11 ¼” H (to top of socket) x 9” W x 5” D, weighs 1.4 lbs. Note (images/condition) – there is a small crack below Blynken and another on the back of the base, there are small scuff & scrape marks with patina throughout, there is a red mark on the power cord, and does not come with a shade.
