Description: This listing is for a pair of RARE Vintage European Ornate Chenets or Andirons also called firedogs. They are made of heavy solid brass / bronze (not cast) - They have a wonderful patina. The base is heavy and features a square solid bottom and filigree and design that reaches to a flame or torch. Lots of wonderful detail and patina to these chenets. I believe these to be from England around the early 19th Century. They are in wonderful vintage condition and show no signs of wear. No wear to the patina or to the structure of the chenet, no dings, dents, or scuffs. I have not polished them, this is their natural patina. They measure 20 inches tall Approximate Dimensions: 20" high x 8" wide x 3" deep Approximate Overall Weight: 26 lbs.These chenets will arrive wrapped and heavily packed.
