This is rare and hard to find SET that was made exclusively for Toys "R" Us of Hasbro's Ultimate FX lightsabers for Star Wars Darth Maul character. Typically these Ultimate FX Darth Maul lightsabers were sold individually and you had to purchase two of them in order to connect the two and make a replica of the long double-bladed lightsaber used by Darth Maul. This was a thrift store find as someone had donated a boatload of Star Wars items, some new in the box and some that were used. ConditionThis item is brand new and still factory sealed in its original retail box. The box has wear to it with some of the rigid plastic packaging on the front being cracked at the bottom and having a small piece of it cracked off. The retail boxes were made with an oval shaped opening already for customers to push the button on the lightsabers and turn them on. The edges and corners around the box have light handling wear to them and there is the smallest bit of wrapping paper still left on the one side of the box. All of the original factory tape is still sealed on both ends of the box. Please view all of the photos for the best detailed description of this item. FunctionalitySurprisingly both lightsabers lit up and made sounds after all these years when turning them on so I am assuming that both the batteries and the compartments are still in good condition.
