Description: PURCHASE BY DEC 7 to receive before the holidays- I'll be away till the 1st of the year! A pair of coffee cups and saucers in Stangl's LYRIC pattern, designed by legendary Kay Hackett. LYRIC is represented in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. The red clay earthenware cups are glazed in white with a brown rim. They are decorated with a hand carved design of abstract musical shapes accented with black painted details. The saucers are solid black glaze on top and a brown bottom with a narrow band of white. Saucers are 6/" diameter, the cups are 3/" diameter and 2/" high. They are in very good condition- there is what looks like a very short hairline crack in the glaze on one, but you can't feel it, so it may just be a dark line. It's on the exterior, it is faint, and does not show up on the interior. It also has a spot on the bottom rim where the glaze has thinned, so you can feel a little rough spot. Each saucer has a tiny flea bite on the rim. See photos for these only 'flaws'! Please ask questions before you bid and check out my other auctions-I combine shipping!
