Description: Beautiful Gold Plated circa 1960 vintage SONOTONE 9T Series phono cartridge and MATCHED VELOCITY EQUALIZERS with instructions and mounting hardware. In 1960, the first version of the equalizers is incorporated into a pair of small plug-in adapters for stereo. Later marketing gave them the name of Velocitone. The adapters are less than 2" long and can be plugged into a normal magnetic phono input and the turntable output can be plugged into the adapters. The inherent advantage of linearity and insensitivity to hum pickup can still be retained. The 9T ceramic stereo cartridge with Velocitone adapters is reviewed in the September 1961 issue of Electronics World. I had purchased this along with other items for a "Voice of Music" record changer from 1960.The 9T'S were typically used on Wurlitzer Jukebox's # 2700 thru 3200. They were used on turn tables and record changers as well. This has a mono / stereo flip over needle rare, it make the 45's sound just like they did 50 years ago!
