Description: This is a Rare Estate Fresh very old Silver Tea Spoon from a long time collector of Sterling and Coin Silver pieces from the US, England Paris and abroad. This spoon is a Samuel Kirk piece marked SL KIRK which is the 1820's to 1846 mark. The best part is that there is a tag attached in faded ribbon that has written " This belonged to my Great Great Great grandparents Francis & Eleanor Mattingly." In checking I did find that this couple did live in Washington DC in the early 1800's. They had a son born in DC in 1838, William Francis Mattingly. Super cool old spoon w provenance.
