Description: This Indian Head/Buffalo U.S. 5 cents nickel is typed I, meaning it was made first year 1913 by San Francisco Mint as there was no line below the buffalo. For those that were made second year or much later, there existed a thin line between the buffalo and mound, those coins were classified II. This coin is antique as it was made more than 100 years ago. The Buffalo coin was designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser. As said, there was no more such 5 cents Buffalo coin made thereafter the 25 years period. A great coin collector item.
