Description: This exquisite antique Asian locket features a stunning Dragongate (representation of growth and wisdom) design with a raised relief of 2 Koi fish on one panel and a dragon on the other. Made of silver or silverplate with a gold tone on the inside. The intricate details of the 2 koi fish and dragon and the beautiful finish make this locket a must-have for any lover of Asian art and culture. Very unique craftsmanship, as you can see under the paneling through the inside of the locket. This lovely locket is about 3/4 of an inch tall. There are no markings on the locket that I can see. The locket is in good used condition with a good working hinge. The locket has not been cleaned as I was told this should be left to the experts. This locket is either an antique Chinese or Meiji Japanese locket. It's very rare as most of these lockets did not survive.
