Description: Up for auction is this RARE BEAUTIFUL, 1800's ( I really do not know how old it actually is, it was my great grandmothers) A Beautiful J. Fischer Budapest Hungarian Pottery Majolica Planter with 22K Gold Accents (really do not know what to call it, because it was never used just displayed in her curio Cabinet). This piece has a Ton of Hand painted multi-colored flowers and leaves and all are outlined in 22K Gold accents. After Doing some research on this item, I found out it was made in Hungry in the early 1800's by Fisher J. Pest Budapest Austro-Hungarian Empire. FOR IS AGE IT IS IN Excellent condition on the outside no wear or paint issues at all, inside there is some age crackling in the glaze, but no cracks or issues. It measures Approx. 3" T x 3 1/4" W with a 3 1/4" opening and it has a hole in the bottom which makes me think it was designed to be a planter of some sort. It is marked on the Bottom Fischer J Budapest and stamped a number in the bottom which I think is the #1700 but not completely sure, I haven't been able to find another one Exactly like this one in all my searches, but similar!!!
