Description: Offering a vintage and rare 1960's first generation Aiwa VM-13 Velocity (Ribbon) Microphone. By this time, the Japanese were definitely stepping up their game in terms of quality microphone builds. At first glance, you can see this VM-13 was modeled after the iconic RCA 77. They're well-built with a robust metal casing and chromed upper perforated screens, which are both in near to mint condition with no scratches or dents. The Aiwa badge on the front is intact, and has its original pro-quality low-z 600 ohm transformer. Only the support yoke is reproduced. Sound-wise, this Aiwa VM-13 has a wonderfully rich low-end, with a natural mid to high-end tone from its factory ribbon motor...has had no repairs or replacements. For high-quality studio use, voice-over, or internet blog, this can be your go-to microphone, or just add this beauty to your collection! (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.) And just look at that desk stand...an old school chromed beauty that pairs up beautifully with this fine ribbon microphone! The stand has a rubber insert ring in the base to help offset any desktop vibrations. Overall height is 14", and also includes a short pigtail with male XLR plug. ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. We offer combined shipping. ** ** WE BUY YOUR OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY UPDATED REGULARLY **** Click on my eBay username for details. (Text or call.)
