Thanks for viewing my listing! Definitions: Leupold Ringmount style mounts are meant to attach to Ruger ribbed receivers (the kind with a semi-circular detent on each side of the receiver rib). THIS IS THE STYLE OF MOUNT THAT THESE RINGS FIT. The above rings will NOT fit the following types of bases: Standard Dovetail style mounts are meant to attach to the integral dovetail grooves machined into the top receiver of some firearms (mostly air guns and .22 caliber). Dual Dovetail style mounts are meant to pair up with Dual Dovetail rings, which twist and lock into place in the base (either a 1-piece or 2-piece base). Both the front and rear rings have the same oval style base (as opposed to STD mounts, which have a front ring with a similar dovetail bottom, but the rear ring has a different clamp base). Weaver-style mounts predate Picatinny rails. Weaver mounting rails have slots that are .180” wide and do not necessarily have a consistent spacing between the grooves. Picatinny slots are .206” wide with a center-to-center groove width of .394”. Picatinny accessories will not fit on a Weaver rail, but Weaver accessories will fit on a Picatinny rail. Weaver-style See-Thru Classic mounts are rings that have an attached base that mounts directly to a receiver that has already been drilled and tapped for a scope mount. The base forms an aperture so you can still use the iron sights on the firearm by looking under the scope through the mounts. Weaver-style See-Thru Detachable mounts are rings that have a lower portion that mounts to a Weaver style scope mount. The lower portion of the ring forms an aperture so you can still use the iron sights on the firearm by looking under the scope through the lower portion of the rings above the scope mount. Leupold style STD/Standard mounts: The forward base section accepts a dovetail style ring, which inserts and twists into place, locking it solidly into position, while the rear ring is secured by windage adjustment screws, which clamp the base of the ring on the rear base section. Various Quick Release Definitions: Quick Release style mounts: Leupold style bases that have a round hole for each ring and a lever on the side that locks in the ring. The Leupold style Quick Release rings have round slotted projections of the bottoms which fit through the round base holes and lock into place with the quick release lever. Not to be confused with Weaver style Quick Release rings (which have a cross clamp base with a knurled thumb screw that can be quickly unscrewed). QRW: Leupold Quick Release Weaver, lever quick release attachment for the cross clamp base that fits on a Weaver style mounting rail QRW2: Leupold Quick Release Weaver 2nd Generation, same as above but with minor aesthetic and fit changes PRW: Leupold Permanent Release Weaver, the base of the ring is attached to a Weaver style mounting rail by screws on the cross clamp PRW2: Leupold Permanent Release Weaver 2nd Generation, same as above but with minor aesthetic and fit changes Bases typically come as either 1-piece or 2-piece: 2-Piece: One base section is mounted on the forward ring portion of the receiver, while a second separate base section is mounted on the receiver behind the ejection port. Often referred to as a Redfield Senior (Sr) style. 1-Piece: The base is a single unit that bridges from the front of the receiver (ring portion) to the rear (behind the ejection port). Often referred to as a Redfield Junior (Jr) style.
