FABRIC: Is there anything that says “summer” more than beautiful red geraniums? Designer Jackie Robinson was inspired by the numerous pots full of these magnificent blooms that lined the walkway to her mother Betty’s front door. By blending large scale focal fabrics with stripes, geos, ferns, and more florals Jackie has created a collection to honor the woman that taught her how to sew! The shades of red, pink, and green with crisp bright white make these fabrics perfect for a variety of projects. 100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold, mild detergent, delicate cycle, do not bleach, tumble dry low, remove promptly. For best results, pre-washing is recommended. The overall finished size of this throw quilt as shown in picture 1 is 56" x 56". The kit contains a purchased copy of the Star Bright pattern and instructions designed by Jackie Robinson of Animas Quilts along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. Backing fabric and batting will need to be purchased separately. Printed fabrics in this kit are from the Betty's Geraniums and Wave Texture collections designed by Jackie Robinson for Benartex. Pictures 3 thru 10 show the pattern and fabrics included in this kit. Skill Level: Intermediate A little over 6-3/4 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern. The pattern recommends 3-5/8 yards for your backing fabric assuming a standard 44/45" width along with a 64" x 64" piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or for pattern design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit. This pattern also recommends a Tri Recs Tool or Half Rectangle Ruler, Tearaway Stabilizer (for stitching the stems) and a Binding Miter Tool.
