Description: Punk Magazine #17 May June 1979 Featuring The Clash and Alice Cooper on the cover, also articles on the Rolling Stones, David Johansen of the NY Dolls, Niagara of Destroy All Monsters (with Ron Ashton of the Stooges), artwork by John Holmstrom, Bruce Carleton, photos by Roberta Bailey and Bob Gruen, How to Take Care of a Baby, and Leonid Brezhnev as the Punk Playmate of the Month. Be warned, don't believe everything you read in the Rolling Stones interview. This classic magazine was really the only one really involved in the NY punk scene from the beginning, and its story is a large part of the film on CBGBs from a few years ago. A great, fun addition to your collection. This is a new copy from the original production run. For over 20 years, Venus Records was one of the top collector's stores in Greenwich Village, if not the world. I closed it down in 1999 and kept most of the stock in storage and have just recently started selling it off. There are still a lot of great items to come, so, you may want to put us on your watch list. I'm mostly getting out of the music business and doing online marketing and helping business owners with their strategies, but plan on keeping my good reputation in the music business intact. I started with music mail order in 1976, and now am back to doing mail order again. If you ever have a problem, contact me.
