This is a drive Axle Coupler to replace the original coupler that often cracked in the original model. This coupler has the correct inner bore diameter of 2.5mm. It is press fit directly on the Driver stub shafts. No modifications are required to the gear or stub shafts. The Drivers should be "quartered" to prevent damage to the other driven wheel axle couplers and spur gear. The Spur Gear is also available, item 374938260594, as they often cracked in the original model as well. Also available, Full ship set, One (1) Spur Gear and Three (3) Axle Couplers, item 374938265934 All Drivers and driven wheels must be "quartered" identically to prevent damage to the spur gear or axle couplers. A quartering jig tool is also available, item 375614157859, so that all driven wheels can all be quartered accurately and identically.
