Use one hand (with gloves on or off) to push her into the cage and the other hand to slide the flexible screen over her and slide the foam insert up to position her against the screen to place a dot of this years color on her thorax. (Year 2024-Green) As soon as she is marked slide the foam down so the paint has at least a minute to dry then slide the screen back and let her go on top of the frames. All worker bees can pass through the screen except the queen until you release her. Perfect for all Backyard Beekeepers who need to keep track of their queens. These colors do not fade and will stay on your queens for at least a year or more without being removed by the queens attendants.
