Description: This is for a premium rebuilt original Holley AA-1 Model 2-Barrel Carburetor used on all Ford Flathead engines and many custom applications. I usually have all versions including the 59 and 94 series of various sizes. Just ask if you need a specific model. They are rebuilt by the best and largest classic carburetor rebuilder in the world. The best available new gaskets, metering jets, seals, viton-tipped (ethanol-proof) accelerator pump, inlet seat/needle, pump springs and power valve are used to bring it to better than new condition and make it ethanol-proof. You get correct size main metering jets (usually .044" - .052") based on your application) and polished stainless-steel fasteners all around. I replace the jet plugs with new brass-alloy parts. Each carb is bench-tested and set to specifications. If your carb looks like the pictures, I probably have one like it. If not sure, just drop me a note and/or picture before buying the auction. If you don't currently have a carb(s), drop me a message for free advice. This carb is an excellent replacement for the harder to find and more expensive Stromberg 97. It is only about an inch wider if you are planning a multiple carb set up and can be tuned easier when it comes to changing jets and power valves. The flow is the same for equivalent carbs. If you need more cfm I have some Stromberg 48's for sale in another auction. If you have one to return it is worth $60 back as a core charge. Your carbs will be insured for loss in transit or damage, but a recent experience showed that they are not insured against loss once they are delivered. So, if you are in an area with porch pirates you will find the small additional cost of $4 for a signature worth it. A buyer had their carbs stolen expected me to cover the loss, and that's just not how it works. Warning. If you buy a "new" replacement-type carburetor of this model and many other obsolete ones, you might get a piece of Chinese Junk. Their castings are copies and porous and will eventually leak or seep around the body gasket and jet plugs. The throttle bodies I have seen and had to replace are soft aluminum (spelled w-a-r-p-a-g-e when heated). The gaskets and rubber parts are not compatible with today's fuels and will fail much quicker than good American-made original ones. Most have cheap foam floats that require a fuel pressure regulator. Henry Ford was a demanding buyer. If the aftermarket price seems too good to be true, I can tell you from personal experience that it is. Those carbs are marketed by most of the classic parts companies in the US. If authenticity and dependability is important to you, then buy original. If resell value is important to you, don't buy a knock off. The difference is noticeable because they do not have part numbers and some have anodized yellow parts that are not period correct. I have had to drill and re-tap holes for larger fasteners and heli-coils in many of the copies. Buyer beware..... View more great items
