Description: 1960s standard size chrome postcard shows the world's only privately-owned subway in the US in the 1960s and 1970s. Two of its seven electric train cars are shown here, with their "Leonards M&O Subway" sign on front, going through the bluffs of Trinity River to Ft. Worth, Texas. The Tandy Subway was built by Marvin & Obie Leonard in 1963 to connect their department store with a remote parking lot. Tandy bought the Leonard Brothers' store in 1967 and the subway continued until 1974 when the business was bought by Dillard's. Unused; excellent condition. Superlatives, RR, unusual transportation.
