Description: Here is a wonderful Mid-Century china serving bowl made by Noritake in their Progression line - it's in as close to PRISTINE condition, as out-of-the-box china can be. The name of this pattern is "Blue Haven" -- It's so attractive with a bright white base decorated with a whimsical floral design in swirling multiple shades of blue. Blue Haven was made only from 1966 until 1979, when it was discontinued. This bowl is brilliantly clean with NO cracks, chips, flakes or repairs. There are no stains or discoloration. There are probably some light surface marks from use, but we truly had difficulty finding any. SIZE is 10 inches by 7 inches, with a 2-3/4 inch tall rim, perfect for dinner parties or homey family meals. Replacements Ltd calls it "oval" but with squared off corners it is more like oblong. Progression ware was advertised by Noritake as being uniquely workable in the oven as well as the dining table. It is thicker and more durable than fine china, more like ironstone or restaurant ware.
