Description: This is one of the coolest Century 21 souvenirs I've seen in a long time. It is an unopened, as it was ready to be sold in 1962 (or perhaps it was sold and the souvenir-hunting fairgoer put it away and never saw it again) on the fair grounds. I have definitely seen these coasters over the years of selling souvenirs from my hometown fair, but never as they were originally packaged. Check out not just the front where you can see the mint condition stack of coasters, but the back is set up to put it in the mail just as it is, plus one stamp. I'm amazed at how many items simply were printed "place stamp here" and the asusmption was that the folks who bought them would do just that. I can't imagine them surviving the postal service today and the giant postcards, cigarette snuffers and bags like this and many others must've been mailed I've never seen one that went through the mail, and you would think they would be kept as souvenirs. I wonder how many were really mailed--and what percentage survived a trip through USPS gauntlet! But one thing is certain: this is a terrific and very cool souvenir that I assume can't be found in any collections today. And just to be clear: I will ship this well protected as opposed to sticking stamps on the back and dropping it at the post office.
