Plunkett. Lyrics by Robert Levenson. Look at the signature of artist on the moon/sun of that wonderful lithograph of beautiful lady -- V. C. Plunkett. The composer of the Music was ALSO the Illustrator of the cover (Vincent Charles Plunkett 1892 1960--born in Boston and died in Los Angeles -- was an American COMPOSER AND ILLUSTRATOR Of Popular Songs. His major activity/career was between 1915 and 1925. Another interesting bit to note is D. W. Cooper was the publisher (Boston) 1919. One sees more of this title published by Joe Morris NYC from 1919. Since DW Cooper was published in Boston, it might be a first edition. Many of the other copies of this music from Joe Morris do not have the VC Plunkett signature on the lithograph, possibly for that very reason--this may be the first edition. ABSOLUTELY GREAT FRONT COVER, perhaps equal or even better 'art' than the song. Definitely culturally embracing for the times. LITHO MUSIC is large non-standard at 13.5 inches in height and 10.5 inches length -- 5 counting the front cover, 6 pages counting the back cover. It appears to have had moisture at one time.. the cloud shows on back cover but warp nor damage shows from whatever that was.
